kossack for a long time but this is my first dairy. Now that the tents have been evicted with brutal forces, resolve tested and the movement maligned by few. we at ows should take our next steps in such a way that no one would be able to smear us, call us names, infiltrate the movement and hijack it to their profitable motives. The right wants to call us enemies of free market, enemies of capitalism etc. they beleive that the sacred mantra is "free market". lets hit them back using the same same mantra! and take ows to teh next phase Let me explain, corporations dont like unions, epa, regulations and practically control the politics. what they cant control-thanks to free market ,is consumer and his choices to a certain extent. thanks to anti competitive laws, we do have some choices even if they are not to our liking. lets start making those choices and affect the corporations that have double standards, unethical, dont care for common man.
imagine if majority of 99% protest the "roaches" and their brothers, they will use their smear machine, friends in media, police, etc and crush and malign it. but what if a majority of us stop buying georgia pacific-for example or any other product that pollute environment or spread carcinogens.it will affect the bottomline straight. if not now ,then atleast in next 2-3 quarters. if my office buys GP paper and if i dont want to use it. 1) i will reduce the comsumption and 2) bring my own paper of a different company. imaging 30 million people doing the same. it will have a significant dent on any business, be it lattes, news corp owned movies, whole food or mutual funds owned by charles schwab. (all examples). if 30 million of us stop using them but instead use a competitors products to begin with, it will send the message to the corporations what they have refused to understand looking at protests, and the initial stage of 99%. let us start blacklisting the products and let us send a free market solution to the corporations. we have to be resolved though. they will test us by dropping prices significantly(to try and break our resolve and trick us into buying their products),smearing other products by competitors but ultimately, they will either discontinue the product or take huge losses
It will be difficult for many of us too because we are used and have been programmed since childhood to certain brands, over consumption, conviniences BUT in order to teach the culprits a free market lesson, we have to endure it. Personally, i started with simple ones. No brawny in my house, no Georgia pacific paper in house or office , no funds in charles schwab, no shopping at whole foods.(this is my choice and my choice only. am not advocating for you all to do it till you do your due diligence research). I could be there in person for ows but this is how I was with ows-in spirit. the next step would be to launch cooperative societies to sell the same products that we need and have no alternatives to procure(staple items) but thats for a later date.
Excited that we are moving to our next phase- (the phase of boycott of corporations that rule us)
